Par 5 not easy from start to finish. First of all, it is better to play not too long to stay on the widest part of the fairway and open up the second shot. The 2nd shot is made in a corridor and the 3rd towards a well-defended green whose general slope is upwards in the direction of play. It is better to stay short of the flag. 5.5 average score on this hole all year is a very good statistic!

Level « Bogey to Double bogey player »

You should not be impatient on this hole. 5 shots on the fairway is not a poor performance. It is long and narrow. Play more shots but play straight rather than looking for length, unless you have mastered it. Wait to attack the green when you can, and do so with a short club so your ball can stay on it. A too long shot can send the ball behind the green and leave you with a very tricky approach.
